Microsoft’s new “Web Platform” enhances Preditor’s cross-platform appeal
Microsoft recently announced the release of its new Web Platform that allows for the easy deployment of web-based applications. Critically however, it includes support for PHP – the powerful scripting language that Prefix Technologies uses to develop our own Preditor CMS for Publishers.
We’ve always maintained that Preditor can run on both the Microsoft and Windows [...] -
Calais from Reuters. Tagging content for the semantic web
The semantic web is rising. This abstract thing that no one quite has a handle on yet is certainly going to become a major theme of information management in 2008. It’s all about the meta-data, and we’ve now got to figure out what this means for the publishing industry and small business document management respectively. [...]

Dataportability.org - what an OpenID could do for publishers and WebApps in general

This is important because XML is the main way us programmers get our applications to talk to each other today. Our Preditor publishing platform uses XML extensively to talk to the Adobe product suite for example, so that DTP departments can import and export Preditor content when it comes to layout of the print magazines.
